Candle Care.

In order to get the best burn out of your candle follow these steps.

  • To ensure an even burn throughout, make sure the entire surface area of your candle melts each time. This is especially important on the first burn. Candles have “memory” and will only burn as far as they melted initially. Common guidelines are about 1 hour per inch of candle diameter. Our glass jars should be lit for almost 4 hours the first time to avoid tunneling.

  • After first burn, trim wick to 1/4 inch every time you light it. Not trimming the wick can cause mushrooming, soot, and an extra hot burn.

  • Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • NEVER move a lit candle or wickless tin that has been on a warmer.

  • To safely enjoy the last 1/2 inch of wax, use on a candle warmer.
